Aldi

Aldi’s Specialbuys are one of the best sources of affordable caravan and camping kit in the UK. The key is knowing when the camping events are — they typically run in spring (March/April) and summer (June/July). Here is what to look out for:

  • Folding camping chairs — excellent quality for the price, typically £15–25
  • Camping tables — lightweight aluminium, fold flat, around £20–30
  • Sleeping bags — good for children, typically £12–18
  • Portable gas stoves — useful backup, around £15
